Our Story

At JCE Racing Stable, our success stems from a hands-on, personalized approach to developing each thoroughbred in our care. Recognizing that each horse is an individual, we combine meticulous bloodstock selection, tailored conditioning programs, and decades of horsemanship experience to bring out the best in every equine athlete. Our team collaborates to create customized exercise routines, precise nutrition plans, and targeted recovery protocols—continually refining each horse’s regimen through ongoing performance analysis and veterinary feedback. This commitment to detail and continuous improvement has established JCE Racing as a leader in producing competitive and successful athletes on the track.

Jeremiah Englehart has been a leading force in New York racing since taking out his trainer’s license in 2003, maintaining strings on both the NYRA circuit and at Finger Lakes. With more than 1,800 wins to his name—including the 2013 (Gr. 1) Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies victory with Ria Antonia—Jeremiah’s record speaks for itself. He trained the undefeated Maple Leaf Mel to wins in the Seeking The Ante Stakes, East View Stakes, and the (Gr. 3) Miss Preakness Stakes.

His roster of stakes winners also includes King Kreesa (Gr. 3), Tamarind Hall, The Tea Cups, Sandy’z Slew (Gr. 3), Sue’s Fortune, Forty Under, Pat On The Back (Gr. 2), I Still Miss You, Dirty, Captain Bombastic, Aveenu Malcainu, Freedom Speaks, Canigetaloan, Critical Value, Tricky Temper, Whittington Park, and (Gr. 3) Ohio Derby winner Mo Plex. JCE Racing Stable has earned cumulative purse money now exceeding $50 million.

Jeremiah’s passion for racing started at an early age; as the son of trainer Chris Englehart, the sport has always been a true family affair. Jeremiah and his wife Robin live just outside Saratoga in Schuylerville, NY, where they raise their five children — Raelyn, Anna, CJ, Eli, and Jax.

Being based in Saratoga allows Jeremiah to dedicate ample time and attention to each outfit, ensuring careful management and the best chance for success for his horses.

Jeremiah’s remarkable success with two-year-olds speaks to his long-standing partnership with Travis Durr at Durr Training Center, where young talent is carefully selected and developed before hitting the track. Travis, together with Kyle Zorn and Kristian Villante, founded Legion Bloodstock — uniting their collective expertise with JCE Racing to deliver unmatched insight in selecting, training, and managing top-tier racehorses. This collaboration harnesses decades of experience, ensuring clients receive the highest standard in racehorse development and ownership.
